HUSKER DU Vinyl Records and CDs Punk/hardcore trio who were formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in Hüsker Dü (which means "Do you remember" in Danish and Norwegian, but is actually spelt without diaereses) mixed pop and punk music and consisted of guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton and drummer/vocalist Grant Hart.

"Hüsker Dü" is Danish/Norwegian for "Do You Remember" (a popular children's game). Hüsker Dü first gained notice as a post-hardcore band, with thrashing tempos & screamed vocals, but also with a melodic, soulful edge that became more pronounced in the band's mid-career, as they drifted away from their early sound.

We assume the protagonist takes the "chartered trip away" because by the time we get to "The Biggest Lie" he is considering returning back to his day job, girlfriend, and home town, but is disillusioned with the hypocrisy of it all. Regardless of what "Chartered Trips" actually means, it is hands down my favorite Bob Mould penned Hüsker Dü song.

The version of "Statues" on Everything Fallas Apart And More is the unedited studio take that goes several minutes longer/5(11).
